As part of the EduTech Webinar Series (Series 7) under the EduTech Symposium, a session titled “The Art of Teaching in a Digital Age: Pedagogy Over Technology” was held on 26 December 2024 to highlight the critical role of effective teaching strategies alongside digital tools.
The webinar featured Dr. Aminath Shafiya Adam, Dean of the Centre for Research and Publication at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM), as the panelist, and was moderated by Ibrahim Adam, Lecturer and Instructional Designer at the Centre for Educational Technology and Excellence (CETE).
The session, which was free and open to the public, provided participants with an opportunity to understand the importance of keeping pedagogy at the core of education, explore effective online teaching strategies, and discover methods to enhance student engagement using digital tools.
The webinar formed an integral part of the pre-event activities leading up to the EduTech Symposium 2025, further strengthening the event’s focus on educational innovation, pedagogical excellence, and quality technology-enabled education in the Maldives.
