The School of Nursing at the Maldives National University (MNU) Kulhudhuffushi Campus held its Oath Taking and Award Ceremony on 12th June 2024, marking an important milestone for nursing students and recognising academic excellence.

A total of 71 students from the Advanced Diploma in Nursing and Advanced Certificate in Nursing programmes took their oath, affirming their commitment to professional ethics, compassionate care and the responsibilities of nursing. The ceremony reinforced the values that guide students as they prepare to serve patients and communities.

Fourteen students were recognised for their academic achievements. Seven received the Dean’s Honour List Award, while seven received the School of Nursing Top Achievers Award.

The awards celebrated students’ dedication to their studies and encouraged continued commitment to high standards in learning, professional development and nursing practice.

By bringing together professional commitment and academic recognition, the ceremony highlighted the importance of both knowledge and compassion in nursing. It reflected the School of Nursing’s commitment to preparing students to contribute to the health and wellbeing of communities.
