Using AI thoughtfully can help educators prepare materials that respond to different learning needs. This hands-on workshop introduced academic staff to practical AI applications and simple prompting techniques for improving teaching resources. Facilitated by Ahmed Shareef, it encouraged staff to review generated content for suitability, inclusion, and potential bias. The programme also explored privacy concerns and the risks of relying too heavily on AI. Participants were encouraged to develop a realistic plan for applying what they learned. The workshop aimed to build confidence in responsible AI use while keeping students’ needs central to teaching decisions.
