A delegation from the United States Embassy in the Maldives and the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) of the United States of America visited the Faculty of Maritime Studies (FMS), Maldives National University, on 9 September 2026. The delegation was led by Ms. Alice Chu, Deputy Chief of Mission, United States Embassy in the Maldives, and Ms. Laura DiBella, Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission. The main purpose of the visit was to introduce the respective institutions, exchange information on areas of mutual interest, and explore opportunities for prospective cooperation in the maritime sector.
