The Faculty of Shari’ah and Law (FSL) at The Maldives National University is pleased to highlight the participation of Ms. Batool Zahoor Qazi, Senior Lecturer, at the 5th LAWASIA International Human Rights Conference 2025, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 15 to 17 February 2025.

At the conference, Ms. Batool presented her research paper, “Transitional Justice in Maldives: A Flipped Model,” as a panelist. Her presentation brought attention to transitional justice in the Maldivian context and contributed to discussions on human rights, justice, and the importance of strengthening institutions.

Her participation reflects FSL’s commitment to supporting academic research and providing opportunities for its lecturers to share their work with the wider academic community. Such engagement also helps strengthen knowledge and awareness of human rights among lecturers and students while encouraging further research and international academic collaboration.
