The Faculty of Shari’ah and Law (FSL) at The Maldives National University successfully held Ilmee Foavahi 2025, an academic seminar organized to enrich the knowledge and understanding of MNU staff members through Islamic learning and reflection.

The seminar focused on the significance of Ramadan, offering staff members an opportunity to reflect on the spiritual value of the holy month and its importance in the life of Muslims. The session was led by Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Rahman, who shared valuable insights into the virtues of Ramadan, the practices encouraged during the month, and the actions Muslims should observe and avoid wasting the most of this blessed time.

Through his session, Dr. Abdul Sattar highlighted the importance of strengthening faith, maintaining good character, practicing self-discipline, and increasing acts of worship and kindness. His discussion encouraged participants to look beyond the outward practices of fasting and reflect on how the teachings of Ramadan can inspire positive changes in their daily lives.

The seminar also included an engaging question-and-answer session, providing staff members with an opportunity to ask questions, share their thoughts, and deepen their understanding of the topics discussed.
