Bachelor of Nursing and Advanced Diploma in Nursing students from The Maldives National University organized a seminar titled “Infection Prevention and Control: Essential Strategies for Safer Health Care” at MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus. The event brought together 28 students, 13 health professionals, and 6 staff members.

Student presenters covered crucial topics including standard precautions, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental hygiene, and strategies to prevent healthcare-associated infections. The session emphasized maintaining patient safety, protecting healthcare workers, and improving overall care outcomes.

Participants commended the seminar for its practical relevance in reinforcing best healthcare practices. The initiative increased awareness of infection control measures while enhancing students’ confidence in delivering professional, evidence-based presentations.
