MNU Administers Sulitest to Newly Enrolled Students

15 September 2026

The Maldives National University (MNU) administered the Sulitest sustainability assessment to newly enrolled undergraduate students in Term 2, 2026, to establish a baseline of their sustainability knowledge and understanding. A total of over 95% of the students completed the assessment, providing valuable insights into their existing sustainability literacy.

Sulitest TASK™ (The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge) is an international initiative that assesses sustainability literacy across environmental, social and economic dimensions, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The results will help MNU identify students’ existing knowledge and learning needs, inform curriculum development, and strengthen the integration of sustainability across academic programmes. Future assessments can also help the University monitor changes in students’ sustainability knowledge over time.

This initiative reflects MNU’s commitment to sustainability education and preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.
