Students from the School of Medicine participated in a Thalassemia Screening Session conducted at Jalaludheen School, Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi, in collaboration with Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital. The initiative focused on promoting awareness, early detection, and prevention of thalassemia among the community, particularly among school-aged individuals.

 

Through their involvement, medical students supported healthcare professionals in community-based screening activities while gaining practical experience in public health outreach, patient interaction, and preventive healthcare.
