
The Maldives National University (MNU) Gan Campus student wing, “Ahura,” has officially inaugurated its new Executive Committee for the year 2026. The special ceremony held at the campus served to introduce the incoming committee members and formalize their assumption of leadership roles for the upcoming term.
The event also featured a segment dedicated to honoring the outgoing executive committee members for their dedication and significant contributions to the campus’s progress over the past year.
The ceremony was graced by the President of the Laamu Gan Council, Mr. Ahmed Zaki, as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Mr. Zaki congratulated the newly appointed members of the Ahura Executive Committee and emphasized the vital importance of student-led initiatives to the broader community. Furthermore, he assured that the Gan Council remains committed to providing full cooperation and support for all future endeavors organized by the Ahura wing and the campus aimed at regional development and student empowerment.
The inauguration was attended by the Campus Manager, staff, and students. With the induction of the new committee, students have expressed high expectations for a more vibrant and active campus environment in the year ahead.
