MNU Thinadhoo Campus was honoured to welcome the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellors of The Maldives National University on 27 August 2026 for an official visit to the campus.

The visiting team included the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors responsible for Academic Affairs, Administration and Finance, and Research and Enterprise, along with their accompanying secretarial staff. The team was warmly welcomed by MNU Thinadhoo Campus staff and members of the MNU Student Union – Thinadhoo Campus Wing, Neyka. As part of the welcome, Neyka students also hosted a dinner for the visiting team on the night of 26 August 2026, creating a friendly and meaningful opportunity for student engagement.

The official visit provided an important opportunity to engage with staff, students, student leaders, and community stakeholders while reviewing campus facilities, ongoing activities, and future development opportunities.

As part of the visit, the senior management team toured the campus and met with administrative staff, academic staff, students, and Neyka student representatives. These meetings created space for meaningful discussions on teaching and learning, student support, campus operations, staff development, and ways to further strengthen the learning environment at MNU Thinadhoo Campus.

The team also met with Thinadhoo City Council to discuss higher education development, community collaboration, and opportunities to improve access to learning and professional development in the region. The visit highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between the University, local government, students, staff, and the wider community.

This engagement promoted quality higher education, institutional leadership, student participation, staff development, local partnership, and regional access to learning opportunities. It also strengthened communication between the University’s senior management, the campus community, student representatives, and local stakeholders.
