Vice Chancellor Inspires Graduates with Message of Kindness and Responsibility

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, delivered an inspiring address at the commencement of the first session of the University’s graduation ceremony.

In her remarks, she noted that the presence of a distinguished Chief Guest reflects the nation’s strong commitment to higher education and reinforces the University’s role in shaping the future of the Maldives. She also expressed appreciation for the continued collaboration between the Malé City Group of Hospitals and the University, highlighting its importance in enhancing clinical training and student development.

Addressing the graduates, the Vice Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s mission to develop professionals guided by Islamic ethics and values. She emphasized that true success lies in compassion, respect, and kindness, reminding graduates of the words of Henry James: “Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.” She encouraged them to serve as pillars of support and hope within their communities.

She also attributed the University’s progress to the collective efforts of staff, students, parents, and the wider community, acknowledging in particular the dedication of academic and administrative staff.

The ceremony celebrated not only academic achievement but also the University’s commitment to nurturing responsible and capable graduates who will contribute meaningfully to society.
