On 25–26 February, FHTS hosted the first batch of the Bread Making Workshop, a hands-on experience covering soft rolls, hard rolls, pizza base, focaccia, and creative bread variations. From kneading to shaping to baking, participants immersed themselves fully in the art and science of bread making.
This workshop was organised by the Faculty’s Exposure Trip Committee as a fundraising initiative for this year’s trip. The sessions were open to the public and the response was overwhelmingly positive. The sessions were led by Dean, Ms. Zeenath Solih.
Beyond baking, the workshop reflected the Faculty’s commitment to community empowerment. Teaching individuals how to prepare food at home supports food security, self-reliance, and practical life skills, aligning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, which promotes access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for all. By sharing knowledge, the initiative contributes in meaningful ways toward building stronger and more resilient communities.
Due to popular demand, additional workshops are expected to be organized in the near future!
