MNU Thinadhoo Campus conducted a First Aid Session for the staff of KDM on 24 July 2026, focusing on strengthening basic emergency response skills and workplace safety awareness.

The session was facilitated by Aishath Sharuwath Ilyas, Lecturer from the School of Nursing, together with nursing students. Through practical guidance and demonstrations, participants were introduced to important first aid techniques that can help them respond during injuries, accidents, and emergency situations.

The session helped KDM staff build greater confidence in providing immediate support until professional medical assistance is available. It promoted health awareness, workplace preparedness, risk reduction, practical life-saving skills, and community safety.

By extending first aid learning to staff working in a community service environment, the session contributed to building safer workplaces and a more prepared local community. It also provided nursing students with an opportunity to support community-based learning and apply their knowledge in a practical outreach setting.

MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends sincere appreciation to KDM staff for their participation, and to the School of Nursing lecturer and nursing students for their valuable contribution towards promoting safety, well-being, and emergency preparedness.
