On 6th September 2025, Senior Lecturer Dr. Aminath Waseela conducted a Professional Development (PD) session for teachers of Mohamed Jamaaluddin School, alongside providing tutoring support to Grade 10 students.
The professional development session focused on strengthening teachers’ professional knowledge, teaching skills, and classroom practices, supporting their continued growth and effectiveness as educators. The tutoring component provided targeted academic assistance to Grade 10 students, helping them strengthen their subject understanding, confidence, and learning outcomes.
The initiative promoted quality and inclusive education by supporting both teacher development and students’ learning needs. The targeted tutoring also contributed to equitable learning opportunities, particularly for students who benefit from additional academic support.
The engagement further highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Faculty of Education and schools in strengthening educational support, professional development, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Through the combined professional development and tutoring activities, the initiative supported the creation of more responsive learning environments and strengthened approaches to meeting diverse educational needs.
