International Nurses’ Day Walk

An International Nurses’ Day walk was held in Hulhumalé and across MNU campuses to celebrate the nursing profession, promote physical activity, and raise public awareness of nurses’ contribution to health and well-being. School of Nursing staff and nurses from healthcare institutions participated, demonstrating professional unity and shared commitment to healthy communities. The event encouraged active lifestyles, inclusive participation, recognition of the health workforce, and collaboration among MNU campuses and healthcare organisations.

The walk raised awareness of the nursing profession and encouraged physical activity and community participation. It strengthened professional unity among nurses, staff, students, campuses, and healthcare institutions and increased the visibility of nurses’ contribution to society. The activity also promoted well-being, teamwork, inclusion, and stronger partnerships across the nursing community.
