Preschool Visitors Explore the Human Body at FHS

18 May 2025

Children from Kokkomen Preschool visited the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at The Maldives National University (MNU) on 18 May 2025 for an interactive session on external body parts and basic internal organs. Public health staff and students used visuals, demonstrations and hands-on activities suited to the children’s age.

The visit introduced early health and anatomy concepts through play and gave FHS students an opportunity to practise communicating science to young learners. Teachers and facilitators observed strong engagement with the visual and practical activities.

The session connected child-friendly health education with practical experience for students in adapting explanations to a community audience.

Child-friendly learning about the human body links the visit to SDG 4 (Quality Education), while early health awareness connects it to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
