The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) conducted a Quality Assurance Orientation and Refresher Session on 8 October 2026 to strengthen staff awareness of established quality assurance processes and promote a consistent approach to quality assurance across The Maldives National University (MNU).

The session brought together academic heads and staff, providing an opportunity for newly appointed personnel to familiarise themselves with the university’s quality assurance system while refreshing the understanding of existing staff. It highlighted the university’s Quality Assurance Policy and Quality Assurance and Accountability Framework (QAAF), emphasising their role in promoting consistent practices, accountability and continuous improvement across the institution.

The orientation aimed to foster a shared understanding of quality assurance expectations and the importance of applying established processes consistently across faculties and departments. By strengthening staff awareness and clarifying responsibilities, the initiative supports a coordinated, evidence-informed approach to maintaining academic standards and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning.

Through initiatives such as this, QAD continues to promote a shared culture of quality across the university, reinforcing the importance of consistency, accountability and continuous improvement in supporting institutional effectiveness and the student learning experience.
