Students and staff of the MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus took part in an Earth Hour activity on 25th March 2024, switching off electricity for one hour to promote environmental awareness.
The symbolic activity highlighted the importance of energy conservation, climate responsibility and sustainable resource use. It encouraged participants to reflect on their daily energy consumption and consider practical ways to reduce their environmental impact.
The initiative prompted discussions among students and staff about sustainability and the role of responsible energy use in protecting the environment. Participants welcomed the activity as a simple and meaningful way to raise awareness within the campus community.
The event reinforced the shared responsibility of individuals and institutions to adopt sustainable practices. It encouraged students and staff to carry the message beyond the one-hour activity by making more mindful choices in their everyday lives.
Through this engagement, MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus promoted a greater understanding of how individual and collective action can contribute to a more sustainable future.
