Bachelor of Nursing (Semester 8) students from The Maldives National University organized a Community Health Promotion event titled “Dhulhaheyo Nafsu: Dhoshee Umuraai Sihhathu” for elderly residents of Kulhudhuffushi City, with nursing students leading the activities.

The event featured an informative health education session and interactive activities tailored to senior citizens, promoting healthy ageing, disease prevention, and physical and mental well-being. The platform encouraged active participation, social engagement, and healthy lifestyle choices among older adults.

Senior attendees valued the shared health information and interactive sessions, while nursing students gained meaningful practical experience in health promotion, effective communication, and patient-centered care. The initiative successfully raised health awareness and strengthened community connections.
