The Maldives National University (MNU) Library conducted an APA Referencing session for students of the Nursing programme on 24 February 2025.

The two-hour session was held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and attended by 49 students from NUR175 (Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing, Semester 2).

The session focused on helping students develop a clear understanding of APA referencing and citation practices. Students were introduced to the appropriate use of in-text citations and reference lists, as well as the importance of accurately acknowledging sources used in academic work.

The session forms part of the MNU Library’s ongoing information literacy initiatives, supporting students in developing essential academic research and referencing skills while promoting responsible use of information and academic integrity.

The session supported quality education and lifelong learning by helping students produce credible academic work. These skills also prepare students for ethical professional practice and encourage academic integrity. By sharing educational resources and research skills wth students, the library contributed to the exchange of knowledge that supports partnerships for the goals.
