The Maldives National University (MNU) Library conducted an Effective Database Searching Session for 5 students from the Faculty of Education (FE), Bachelor of Teaching Secondary, to strengthen their skills in searching academic databases and locating relevant scholarly information for their studies and research.

The session introduced students to practical database searching techniques, including developing effective keywords, using search operators, refining search results, and identifying relevant academic resources.

Through practical guidance and search exercises, students had the opportunity to apply the techniques introduced during the session and improve their confidence in finding reliable academic information efficiently.

The session aimed to enhance students’ information literacy and research skills, supporting them in making effective use of library databases and scholarly resources for their academic work.

MNU Library continues to provide information literacy sessions to support students in developing essential research and academic skills.

The session supported quality education and lifelong learning by helping students produce credible academic work. These skills also prepare students for ethical professional practice and encourage academic integrity.
