The Maldives National University Participates in Dialogue on Gender, Peace and Security

The Maldives National University participated in the Dialogue on Gender, Peace and Security held in collaboration with the Australian High Commission to commemorate International Women’s Day. The event brought together key stakeholders from the security sector and law enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Defence, Maldives National Defence Force, Maldives Police Service, Maldives Immigration, Maldives Customs Service, Aviation Security Command, Maldives Correctional Service, and the National Counter Terrorism Centre Maldives. The dialogue provided a valuable platform for fostering meaningful discussions on advancing gender equality and strengthening inclusive approaches to peace and security.

Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, Vice Chancellor of The Maldives National University, attended the event, underscoring the University’s continued commitment to supporting national and global efforts in promoting gender-responsive policies, leadership, and collaboration.
