As part of Aboobakuru School’s Professional Development (PD) Week, a series of professional development sessions were conducted in March 2026, focusing on strengthening classroom practice, teacher productivity, and the effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
The programme began on 10 March 2026 with a session on “Managing Behaviour through a Safe, Supportive and Inclusive Learning Environment,” delivered by Shihanath Ibrahim, Senior Lecturer. The session emphasized practical approaches to positive behaviour management and creating classroom environments that support all learners.
On 11 March 2026, Dr. Lawsha Mohamed, Campus Manager, MNU Thinadhoo Campus, facilitated a session on “Motivation and Task Management,” highlighting strategies to strengthen teacher motivation, manage workload effectively, and improve productivity and classroom performance.
The programme concluded on 12 March 2026 with a session on “AI Tools for Teaching and Learning,” led by Mohamed Shameem Adam, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Education. Teachers explored practical ways to use AI tools to support lesson planning, student engagement, and learning activities responsibly and effectively.
The sessions supported Aboobakuru School’s PD Week goals by providing timely, practical strategies that teachers can apply in their daily teaching to enhance learning outcomes.
