On September 20th, 2023, The Maldives National University (MNU) hosted an event to unveil 13 remarkable books by three gifted writers who received the MNU Book Grant. His Excellency Faisal Naseem, Vice President of Maldives, attended as the Chief Guest and praised the authors for their literary and educational achievements.

Ms. Leela Ahmed

She wrote two heartwarming books for children, teaching them important values like caring for elders.

Ms. Shimna Shakeeb

Her series of 10 books cater to readers of all ages, emphasizing important values for everyone.

Mr. Ahmed Shareef

He authored a book in Dhivehi, explaining how to create a website, contributing to technology education in the Maldives.

The MNU Book Grant program continues to inspire writers and scholars in MNU, enriching the nation’s literary culture. The second call for the application for the Book Writing Grant 2023 is now open. The opportunity is open to all staff and students who want to write and publish books.
