The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (FHTS), conducted a career guidance session for 155 students from Jalaluddin School, H.Dh. Atoll Education Centre, and Afeefuddin School, Kulhudhuffushi City. The session provided students with information on higher education pathways and career opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The session was conducted by Senior Lecturer Ms. Zuneena Habeeb and FHTS alumna Ms. Aishath Saaidha Hanmaam, who shared insights into the diverse career opportunities available within the hospitality and tourism sector and the higher education pathways students can pursue.

As part of the session, Ms. Hanmaam shared her educational journey at FHTS, providing students with a first-hand perspective on pursuing higher education in hospitality and tourism. Her experience offered valuable insights into the opportunities for personal and professional growth that can arise through education and a career in the sector.

The session provided students with an opportunity to explore different career pathways and develop a better understanding of the knowledge and skills relevant to the hospitality and tourism industry. Information on higher education opportunities also supported students in considering their options for further learning and making more informed decisions about their future education and careers.

The engagement also demonstrated the value of knowledge sharing between alumni, educators and prospective students. By sharing her educational and professional experience, Ms. Hanmaam provided students with a perspective on the transition from higher education to the world of work, while encouraging them to consider future employment opportunities within the sector.
