CETE has started working with the Policy and Quality Control Unit to prepare a manual on curriculum development and approval and curriculum review process that is followed at MNU. The purpose of these manuals is to clearly explain the stages, documents to be completed, approvals required, roles and responsibilities of personnels in the curriculum development for new courses and reviewal of developed curriculums in the faculties. It will also provide information, templates of the documents, policies to be adhered, rules and checklists to be followed by those involved in curriculum development and review process. This work is in line with the Curriculum Development and Review Policy of the University and carried out as significant effort to maintain the quality of the university’s courses. Instructional Designer Ibrahim Adam is leading the work on Curriculum Development and Approval Manual and the curriculum review manual is being prepared by Lead Instructional Designer Niuma Mohammed. Drafts of these two manuals have been prepared and shared and are currently being reviewed in accordance with the comments of relevant stakeholders.
