A training workshop on the curriculum development and approval process at MNU was designed and conducted by CETE for the Curriculum Committee members of the faculties (Deans and HODs). The workshop, facilitated by instructional designer, Ibrahim Adam, was held on 4th and 18th April 2023 in the e-facilitation room at CA. The purpose of the 2-hour workshop was to guide the participants to the newly formulated Curriculum Development and Review Policy at MNU and key principles for the design, approval of courses at MNU. The workshop would further assist the participants in identifying all the key tasks involved during different stages of the curriculum development policy and the responsibilities of the personnel involved in each stage. It is a collaborative effort with the Policy and Quality Control Unit and Training Development Unit to focus on the importance of assuring that the courses at MNU are aligned with the internal and external quality standards established locally as well as internationally. Moreover, the activity would allow MNU to ensure that the articulated outcomes are that we require our students to achieve and coherently organise, deliver, and assess our curriculum to embed and assure these outcomes for students. Total 38 participants completed the workshop. Work is in progress to convert the training to a self-paced online program that can be administered through Moodle.
