The Maldives National University (MNU) Libraries will participate in the university-wide initiative “Know Your University: Discover. Connect. Collaborate.” on Thursday, 15 October 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00.

The initiative provides an opportunity for staff and students to explore the work of different faculties and participating units across the University, discover available resources and services, and connect with colleagues from across MNU.

Under the theme “There’s More to Your Library Than Meets the Eye,” MNU Libraries will offer an engaging experience highlighting the wide range of resources, facilities and services available to support teaching, learning and research. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore library resources, including books, e-books, databases and study spaces, while learning more about the work that takes place behind the scenes.

The programme will feature interactive activities such as Library Hands-On Experience, Beat the Clock in 10 Minutes!, Library Health Check-Up, Let’s Play Kahoot! and Your Library, Your Wish. These activities are designed to encourage participation, introduce visitors to library services and provide opportunities to share ideas and suggestions.

Through this showcase, MNU Libraries aim to strengthen awareness of their services, encourage greater use of available resources and build stronger connections with the university community.

The initiative supports MNU’s shared vision of One MNU by encouraging staff and students to discover the diverse work taking place across the University, connect with one another and explore opportunities for collaboration.
