Mock Trial Session Strengthens Students’ Practical Legal Skills

18 May 2026

The Faculty of Shari’ah and Law recently conducted a Mock Trial Session as part of its student engagement initiatives, providing students with a practical setting to apply their legal knowledge and skills.

Through team-based participation, students developed their communication, collaboration, and legal reasoning skills while gaining confidence in presenting and working with their peers. The session also fostered positive peer relationships and strengthened students’ sense of belonging within the Faculty.

The initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by promoting practical and student-centred learning, and supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through the development of foundational legal skills and awareness.

The Faculty remains committed to providing meaningful learning experiences that complement academic instruction and prepare students for their future professional roles.
