MNU Thinadhoo Campus participated as an Activity Partner in the National Pre-Cub Meet & Cub Scout Rally 2026, hosted by Resilient Skautunne in Thinadhoo City on 26 September 2026.

The rally brought together more than 250 Pre-Cubs, Cub Scouts and leaders from five school groups across Zone 5 – Huvadhoo Atoll, providing young participants with opportunities to interact, learn and take part in outdoor, cultural, creative and community-focused activities.

As an Activity Partner, MNU Thinadhoo Campus conducted three interactive activities designed to combine learning with creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and future aspirations.

The Career Mystery Challenge – “Who Could I Be?” introduced children to different professions and encouraged them to reflect on their strengths, interests and future aspirations through a “My Future Passport.” The Build the Tallest Tower Challenge developed teamwork, communication, creativity, planning and problem-solving through a simple group construction activity. The “Sail Towards Your Future” origami activity encouraged children to express their hopes and dreams creatively while connecting imagination with future possibilities.

Through these hands-on activities, MNU Thinadhoo Campus aimed to demonstrate that learning extends beyond the classroom and can involve exploration, creativity, communication, teamwork and reflection on future possibilities.

The wider rally also promoted leadership, independence, community service and environmental responsibility. Activities within the Community Zone encouraged young Scouts to consider their role in caring for their communities and natural environment through practical participation and environmental initiatives.

The initiative contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing inclusive, experiential and non-formal learning opportunities that develop creativity, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and lifelong learning. The career-focused activity also supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by encouraging children to begin exploring their interests, strengths and future career aspirations.

The rally further contributes to SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities through community participation and responsible citizenship, while its environmental activities support SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land by strengthening environmental awareness and encouraging responsible care for the natural environment.

The collaboration between MNU Thinadhoo Campus, Resilient Skautunne, participating schools, Scout leaders and other activity partners also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, demonstrating how educational institutions and community organisations can work together to create meaningful learning opportunities for children and young people.

Through its participation in the National Pre-Cub Meet & Cub Scout Rally 2026, MNU Thinadhoo Campus continues to support community-based learning that encourages young people to become curious learners, effective team members and responsible contributors to their communities.
