Capacity building program on implementing Island-Level Disaster Management Plans and Vulnerability Assessment was held at MNU Gan Campus for institutions across Laamu Atoll. The program focused on enhancing stakeholders’ ability to access and utilize data and decision-making tools through the ESCAP Risk and Resilience Portal.
It also provided a platform for discussions on translating available data and information into actionable policies and strategies for effective disaster management and resilience planning.
The workshop strengthened the capacity of institutions across Laamu Atoll to use data and decision-making tools for disaster management and vulnerability assessment. It supported better-informed planning, strengthened collaboration among stakeholders, and contributed to improved community resilience.
