Bachelor of Nursing students of The Maldives National University (MNU) Gan Campus organized a Nurses’ Health Promotion Event aimed at promoting greater awareness of health and well-being within the community.
The event focused on key areas including healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention, and the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being. Through interactive educational sessions, health screenings, and awareness activities, the nursing students engaged with community members and shared practical information to encourage healthier lifestyles.
Participants welcomed the opportunity to learn more about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing common health issues. The interactive sessions and health screening activities were particularly well received, providing participants with practical knowledge while creating opportunities to engage directly with the nursing students and discuss health-related concerns.
The event contributed to increasing community awareness of healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and overall well-being. It also provided the Bachelor of Nursing students with valuable hands-on experience in community health promotion and highlighted the important role nurses play in promoting public health and supporting healthier communities.
