MNU Thinadhoo Campus conducted a beach cleaning activity on 1 March 2024, bringing students and staff together in a shared effort to protect the coastal environment.

Participants worked early in the morning to clean the beach area and promote awareness on the importance of keeping beaches free from plastic and other waste. The activity encouraged environmental responsibility, teamwork, coastal protection, and sustainable community behaviour.

The immediate impact was a cleaner beach area and increased awareness among participants on the importance of protecting island ecosystems. In the long term, such activities can help build stronger community ownership, reduce pollution, and encourage continued action to preserve the natural environment.
