MoU signing ceremony between MNU and Maldives Monetary Authority

The Maldives National University (MNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) to foster collaboration in areas such as student internships, knowledge sharing, joint research, knowledge and professional development.

The signing ceremony was held at the Maldives Monetary Authority. Governor Mr. Ahmed Munawwar signed the MoU on behalf of the MMA, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam signed the MoU on behalf of the Maldives National University. Senior officials from both institutions attended in the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam emphasised the need for MNU to collaborate with institutions like MMA, noting that this would be an opportunity for faculty and students to contribute towards the development of sound financial and monetary policies.

Governor Ahmed Munawwar reiterated his commitment to working closely with academia to ensure important policy decisions are based on rigorous research and evidence.

The MoU reflects the shared commitment of MNU and MMA to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application and strengthen the connection between policy and practice.
