The Maldives National University (MNU) successfully hosted its Scholarship and Financial Aid Awarding Ceremony 2025 today at the university’s conference room. This prestigious event was exclusively open to MNU’s  staff, with the primary objective of supporting and enhancing the educational qualifications of the university’s employees.

During the ceremony, full scholarships were proudly presented to three staff members. For these recipients, all associated academic and living expenses will be fully covered by the university, facilitating their pursuit of higher education without financial burden.

Additionally, financial aid was extended to other university staffs. These beneficiaries are staff members who are currently pursuing their PhD studies while continuing their employment at the university. This substantial financial assistance aims to support their advanced research and academic endeavors. A total of six individuals were granted financial aid under this category this year.

The scholarship and financial aid certificates were officially presented at today’s ceremony by the Vice Chancellor of The Maldives National University, Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam. The event commenced with an introductory address by Mr. Abdul Rasheed Ali, Head of the University’s Training Department. 

The event was attended by senior university officials and members of the academic community, marking a significant milestone in MNU’s continued efforts to foster academic excellence and support lifelong learning among its staff.
