A seminar titled “Medium and Long-term Planning: Key to National Modernization” was held yesterday at Barceló Nasandhura, bringing together delegates from the Embassy of China in the Maldives and The Maldives National University (MNU).

The opening ceremony was graced by Hon. Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mr. Mohamed Saeed, who highlighted the importance of strategic planning in driving sustainable national progress.

Hon. Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, Dr. Ali Haidhar Ahmed, also joined the ceremony, underscoring the value of international academic collaboration in shaping long-term development frameworks.

Co-hosted by the Embassy of China in the Maldives and The Maldives National University, the seminar provided a platform to exchange insights on long-term planning, modernisation strategies, and strengthening bilateral cooperation in development and education.
