The Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (PFPFF) practical session for Batch 93 was conducted on 12 June 2025 in collaboration with students from the Certificate III in Front Office Operations under the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies. The session provided participants with essential hands-on training in firefighting techniques, focusing on fire prevention, emergency response, and safe use of firefighting equipment. Through structured drills and supervised practical exercises, students gained real-world exposure to handling fire emergencies in a controlled environment. The training aimed to build awareness of safety procedures, improve response readiness, and strengthen teamwork during emergency situations. This interdisciplinary participation highlights the importance of safety education across different academic fields, not limited to maritime studies alone. The activity contributes to developing a safety-conscious workforce capable of responding effectively to emergencies in hospitality and tourism environments as well as broader workplace settings.
