29 May 2025

The Maldives National University (MNU) has reinforced its commitment to digital transformation and efficient university service delivery through a training session on the MyMNU Portal, aimed at equipping staff with the skills to access essential services, manage applications, and navigate university resources through a centralised digital platform.

The training highlighted the growing importance of integrated digital systems in modern higher education, where convenient access to information and streamlined administrative processes play a vital role in improving institutional efficiency and service responsiveness.

A central focus of the session was familiarising staff with the MyMNU Portal’s interface and its range of digital services. Participants were introduced to service application forms, application tracking features, and shared university resources, enabling them to better understand how the platform can support routine academic and administrative responsibilities.

The programme also explored access to university applications and the Digital Student ID Card viewing feature, highlighting how digital solutions can simplify access to essential information and support more convenient interactions with university services.

Beyond introducing the portal’s technical features, the training emphasised the practical benefits of using a centralised platform to manage everyday tasks. By strengthening staff confidence in navigating digital services, the initiative aimed to reduce administrative complexity, improve coordination across university sections, and support more timely responses to the needs of students and staff.

The session further underscored the importance of digital literacy and continuous professional development in building a technology-ready workforce. As universities increasingly adopt integrated information systems, equipping employees with the necessary digital competencies is essential to ensuring that technological improvements translate into more accessible and effective institutional services.

The initiative reflects MNU’s wider efforts to modernise university operations and promote a more connected, efficient, and user-friendly service environment. By encouraging staff to make effective use of the MyMNU Portal, the university seeks to strengthen communication, streamline administrative processes, and enhance the overall experience of its academic community.

Aligned with priorities of quality education, digital literacy, technological innovation, institutional efficiency, inclusive access to services, professional capacity development, and effective institutions, the training supports MNU’s continued progress towards a more digitally connected, responsive, and future-ready university.
