MNUBS Hithadhoo Campus Students Visit Equator Village on Exposure Trip

5th November 2024

The Maldives National University Hithadhoo Campus recently organized an immersive field trip for Bachelor of Science students to Equator Village resort in Addu Atoll.

The students explored primary operational departments to gain firsthand exposure to hospitality management, guest logistics, and regional business strategy. MNUBS extends a heartfelt thank you to the management and staff at Equator Village for opening their doors and offering invaluable real-world guidance.

This visit gave participants a transparent look at commercial operations across the southern atolls. Moving past traditional textbook examples, students interacted with seasoned staff and gained meaningful perspective on evolving regional market trends.

This exercise advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) through practical, workplace-focused training, alongside SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping future graduates for vital roles in the local tourism sector.
