On 6th December 2025, MNU Thinadhoo Campus had the pleasure of welcoming Thinadhoo City Football Club as they prepare for the upcoming BML Atoll Championship. The team was welcomed by Deputy Director Mohamed Asif, campus staff, and student representatives from MNUSU wing Neyka. The visit formed part of the campus’s ongoing efforts to strengthen links with the community and promote youth development through sports, education, and skill-building.
During the visit, players took part in an engaging team-building session designed to enhance communication, trust, and unity among team members. Through interactive activities and reflections, the session focused on collaboration, leadership, and supporting one another both on and off the field.
This was followed by a practical first aid session, aimed at improving the team’s understanding of basic emergency response and player safety. The session covered key areas such as managing minor injuries, responding to common sports-related incidents, and the importance of timely first aid during training and matches. The objective was to help players and support staff feel more confident and prepared in dealing with emergencies.
The sessions were conducted by MNU Business School lecturers Abdulla Sodhig and Hassan Waheed, and School of Nursing lecturers Aishath Sharuwath Ilyas and Nazahath Ibrahim.
Speaking about the activity, MNU Thinadhoo Campus Deputy Director highlighted the importance of such collaborations in promoting holistic development:
“We are proud to support Thinadhoo City FC as they represent our community at the BML Atoll Championship. Initiatives like these reflect our commitment to not only academic learning, but also wellbeing, safety, and community engagement.”
MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends its best wishes to Thinadhoo City Football Club in the upcoming championship and looks forward to further opportunities for collaboration in the future.
