
The Maldives National University Thinadhoo Campus held its Awarding and Oath-Taking Ceremony on 20 November 2025, celebrating the achievements and professional milestones of its nursing students.
At the ceremony, Bachelor of Nursing and Advanced Certificate in Nursing students took their professional oath, marking their formal commitment to ethical practice and compassionate patient care. The oath was administered under the guidance of the Magistrate of Thinadhoo Court, underscoring the seriousness and responsibility of the nursing profession.
Students from Year 2024, Term 1 and 2, and Year 2025, Term 1 were also recognised for their outstanding academic performance. Dean’s Awards and Top Achievers Awards were presented to high-performing students in appreciation of their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.
The chief guest of the ceremony was the Dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Asiya Ibrahim, who highlighted the vital role of nurses in strengthening the national health system and encouraged students to serve with integrity and professionalism. Leaders from Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital and representatives from various institutions in Thinadhoo City also attended, reflecting the strong partnership between MNU Thinadhoo Campus and the local community.
The event concluded with a note of appreciation to all partners, faculty members, and students who contributed to the success of the ceremony and continue to support the development of quality healthcare professionals in the region.
