The Maldives National University (MNU) has signed an agreement with Solex Private Limited for the construction of a new MNU campus and student accommodation in GA. Villingili, as part of the Presidential Pledge to expand access to higher education across the Maldives. The signing ceremony marks an important step towards strengthening higher education opportunities for students living in the atolls.

The project aims to provide improved access to university education by establishing modern learning facilities and student housing in GA. Villingili. The development of the campus is expected to support students from the surrounding islands, making higher education more accessible without the need to relocate to Malé.
