Malé, Maldives – 30 September 2025 – The Maldives National University (MNU) School of Nursing held its Oath-Taking Ceremony for Term 2 nursing students on 30th September 2025. A total of 95 nursing students participated in the ceremony, marking an important milestone in their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals.
The oath was administered by Dr. Saudullah Ali, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, who highlighted the importance of the commitment from an Islamic perspective. In his address, he reminded students that the nursing profession is not only a service to humanity but also a noble responsibility guided by values of compassion, care, and ethical conduct.
The Oath-Taking Ceremony is a long-standing tradition of the School of Nursing, symbolizing the students’ pledge to uphold the values of integrity, empathy, and professionalism as they continue their academic and clinical training.
Speaking on the occasion, faculty members emphasized that the ceremony reinforces the dedication of nursing students to serve patients with sincerity and uphold the highest standards of care, in alignment with both professional and ethical principles.
