The Maldives National University (MNU) officially launched MNU InnovateHub, the nation’s first university incubator, introducing an initiative designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship and business development among students.

During the launching ceremony, the University introduced the objectives and opportunities offered through InnovateHub and officially announced the opening of applications for its inaugural cohort. The initiative invites eligible full-time MNU students to develop their business ideas into viable startups across diverse fields, including technology, tourism, healthcare, law and other sectors.

MNU InnovateHub provides students with access to funding of up to MVR 500,000, mentorship from university leaders, industry experts and international partners, as well as resources and guidance to support the development and launch of their ventures.

Through this initiative, The Maldives National University aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent, encourage creative problem-solving and support the development of innovative business ideas that can contribute to national economic growth.
