The Maldives National University (MNU) Kulhudhuffushi Campus conducted a career guidance session for Grade 10 students of Bileffahi School during their visit to the campus on 25th January 2024. The programme aimed to help students explore opportunities after secondary education and make informed decisions about their future studies and careers.
The visit brought together seven students, two accompanying teachers and nine MNU staff members. The session introduced students to higher education options, emerging career fields and the importance of aligning their educational choices with their interests and aspirations.
Through the session, students gained a clearer understanding of potential academic and career pathways. They were encouraged to consider how their choices after secondary school could support their longer-term goals.
Following the session, students took part in a guided campus tour, exploring key facilities, learning spaces and student support services. The tour provided firsthand exposure to the university environment and helped students understand what studying at a higher education institution could involve.
Students found the session informative and beneficial in understanding their future options. Accompanying teachers also expressed appreciation for the programme, highlighting its value in supporting students’ career planning and educational aspirations.
The visit strengthened students’ awareness of higher education opportunities and encouraged them to consider further studies. It reflected MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus’s commitment to helping school students make informed choices as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
