A public lecture on “Death from an Islamic Perspective” was conducted at the Maldives National University Kulhudhuffushi Campus on 24th March 2024. Facilitated by Sheikh Akram Hussain, the session brought together MNU staff, students and members of the public for spiritual learning and reflection during Ramadan.
The lecture explored Islamic teachings on death, the purpose of life and accountability in the Hereafter. It highlighted the importance of spiritual preparation and encouraged participants to reflect on how their actions and choices relate to their faith and responsibilities.
Participants were invited to consider their values and the importance of living a purposeful life. The session provided an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Islamic perspectives on life, death and the afterlife.
Attendees appreciated the opportunity for reflection and spiritual enrichment during the holy month. The lecture encouraged personal growth and greater awareness of living with faith, values and personal responsibility.
