The Maldives National University (MNU) successfully conducted its General Orientation for Term 2, 2026, welcoming 1400 new students to the University community through a programme designed to prepare them for a meaningful and successful university journey.
The first three days focused on helping students understand life beyond the classroom and beyond earning a qualification. Sessions introduced students to opportunities for personal and professional development, effective learning strategies, library and research services, and the importance of becoming responsible and active citizens.
A session facilitated by Transparency Maldives highlighted civic responsibility, integrity, and the role young people can play in shaping a better future, reflecting MNU’s commitment to developing graduates who contribute positively to society.
The final two days of the orientation week will focus on faculty- and campus-specific orientation, giving students the opportunity to meet teaching staff and become familiar with academic guidelines, expectations, and opportunities.
