The newly elected members of the L. Gan Island Council have met with the management of the Maldives National University (MNU) Gan Campus. This meeting, held on Thursday, May 21, at the MNU Gan Campus, aimed to foster collaboration and identify potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions. During the discussions, both parties explored various training programs designed to enhance community development and the well-being of the residents of L. Gan. Particular emphasis was placed on providing education and vocational training to empower the island’s youth and the general public.
Furthermore, the Campus Manager shared updates regarding the construction of the new MNU campus in Gan. The Manager highlighted the importance of the Council’s full support and cooperation to ensure the timely completion of the project and the commencement of services at the new facility.
