MNU Engages Students Through Workshop for the Development of the Strategic Plan 2026–2030

20 May 2025

As part of the ongoing development of the MNU Strategic Plan 2026–2030, MNU Business Development conducted a dedicated student-focused workshop on 20 May 2025. The workshop provided a platform for students to actively contribute their perspectives, ideas, and expectations towards shaping the University’s strategic direction for the next five years.

The session brought together student representatives from across MNU’s faculties, colleges, centres, schools and campuses, ensuring broad and inclusive participation. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format, both online and in person on the same day, enabling the active engagement of students from multiple campuses across the country. The workshop aimed to capture student insights on key academic, campus, and institutional priorities, while strengthening student engagement in MNU’s strategic planning process.

The workshop commenced with an overview of the Strategic Plan development process and the role of student contributions in informing institutional decision-making. Students then participated in guided discussions and interactive activities designed to encourage open dialogue, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key discussion areas included the student learning experience, academic quality, employability, innovation and entrepreneurship, campus life, wellbeing, sustainability, and the future skills required to thrive in a rapidly changing global environment. Feedback and recommendations shared during the workshop were formally documented and will be incorporated into the development of the Strategic Plan.

The student workshop reflects MNU’s commitment to inclusive governance, participatory planning, and student-centred development. Inputs gathered from students will play an important role in ensuring that the MNU Strategic Plan 2026–2030 is responsive, forward-looking, and aligned with the aspirations of the University community.
